Be careful to use the correct parts when replacing the front shocks for
classic cars such as the 1958-63 AMC American.
There is a chance of breaking the lower control arms with the wrong shocks.
The factory set up used 2 steel spacers that fit inside a rubber bushing:
these pieces with their serrated edges lock into place when torqued to 110 - 125 ft lbs.
